We enjoyed a super dinner in Tarunda at the "1918 Restaurant". A small place, but that night it was full - no reservation, no dinner. Christine's foresight, made us reserve a table for the evening. It was worth it. Lovely fish dish with excellent flavours (asian vegetables with a taste of chilly, mint, corriander).

Driving south we crossed the plains of the Murray River. The vastness is impressive - flat land as far as you can see. After crossing the Murray River we headed south-west to the Coorong National Park at the Limestone Coast - home of pelicans (and 240 other birds, too difficult to make photographs with a simple camera),  a 145 km long "lagoon" (Nehrung). Robe is a small port at the South Sea. It was our intended overnight stay, but there weren't any rooms available, due to a car race in Adelaide and an international farmers congress in the area. So we headed for Mount Gambier.

Pour nous c'est toujour surprenand de voir les reservoirs dehors au plein soleil (jusqu'à 25 °+C) et non dans une cave. Les vinges recoltés semble avoir passer dans un cyclone. Tous les raisins ont été enlever par la machine. La recolte et la vinification sont une industrie et pas necéssairement une passion. Tous est une taille plus grand que chez nous. Les vins de Jacob's Creek par example sont en vente chez nous. Ils utilisent beaucoup de sortes de raisinaussi  bien connus chez nous. Contrairement au Nouvelle Zealandais les Australien ont un quota pour le recolte (mais je ne sais pas combien)

Restaurants in Australien sind nicht billig. In einem guten Lokal lässt man für 2 Personen - ohne Vorspeise, nur mit Hauptgang und Dessert - gut und gerne 130 - 170 AU$ liegen. Heute Abend haben wir mal Pub-Food genossen: "Salz und Pfeffer Calimari mit einem Glas Wein" für 39AU$ (für uns beide natürlich). Das Pub war voll, aber nicht wegen dem Essen oder Trinken, sondern wegen Pferdewetten. Die Australier sind wettverrückt. Im Pub waren 5 Grossfernseher installiert und man konnte alle Pferderennen verfolgen und Wetten drauf abschliessen.
