Weather: freezing cold at night with a light frost in lower areas. With sunrise improving steadely and quite warm
This was a heavy day. 10 hours of driving on the State Highways no. 63 and 6. Beautiful day with excellent coast views. I am done in, so this blog is rather short.
After leaving the subtropical North Island, we have noticed a considerable drop in termperature and scenery. This is to prepare us for mid April on our return. The views on the South Island are more impressive than in the North. SH 6 is hugging the coast for most of the way and turns inland just short of Franz Josef.
La région de Marlborough est plus extensifive que j'ai pensé. En route pour Westport nous avons passé plus de 60 km de vignoble, et tous à plat. On note la différence en température, parce que il y avait du brouillard à la descente vers Westport. L'île du sud a moins d'habitants et lelong le SH 6 on ne trouve pas beaucoup de villages. De temps en temps il y a des magnifiques villas avec de vue sur la plage. Mais on vie au moins une demi heure du prochain bled.
Die aufmerksamen Leser haben festgestellt, dass verschiedene Photos mehrfach vorkommen. Habe bis jetz ca. 300 Photos geschossen und hie und da ein "Gnusch". Gelobe Besserung. Internet ist sehr teuer hier. Habe für 30 Tage ein Abo gekauft und dafür ein Nachtessen hingeblättert. Essen jetzt vor allem Microwellen Fertiggerichte und erlauben uns dann jeden 2. Tag etwas Rechtes.
